"happy feet",
lino-cut,
image size 38 x 30 cm, edition of 12.

Happy Feet started from a request to enter an exhibition to promote out local cinema campaign, the McGuffin's, organised by a local framing service and gallery the E17 Art House, a print based on a favourite film.

The direct inspiration came from Finish photographers Esa Malkonen entry in the 2010 Veolia Environnement Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition, "Back in, front out". They sure looked like "happy feet" to me. I montaged the picture into a larger group, cut it in vinyl and produced the print.
